About ConnectAtlas

Independent travel connectivity research since 2021.

Our Mission

ConnectAtlas was founded in 2021 with a single purpose: to provide travelers with genuinely independent, research-based information about mobile connectivity options in Europe. In a market crowded with affiliate-driven content and commercially motivated "comparisons," we saw a need for a publication that prioritized accuracy and educational value over commercial relationships.

Our mission is to help travelers make informed decisions about their connectivity needs through rigorous research, neutral analysis, and clear, accessible writing. We believe that well-informed travelers are better travelers, and that the complexity of the connectivity market should not be a barrier to making good decisions.

Editorial Philosophy

ConnectAtlas operates as an independent editorial publication. Our content is produced by a team of researchers, writers, and editors who are passionate about travel and technology. We approach every topic with the same commitment to accuracy, fairness, and clarity that we would expect from any serious publication.

We do not accept payment from connectivity providers for editorial coverage. We do not present sponsored content as independent research. When we reference specific providers, we do so for educational purposes — to illustrate market dynamics, explain how different types of services work, or provide context for our analysis. Our editorial decisions are made entirely by our editorial team, without commercial influence.

Research Standards

Our research combines primary and secondary methods. Primary research includes direct testing of connectivity services during travel across European countries, structured interviews with frequent travelers, and analysis of network performance data. Secondary research draws on publicly available coverage maps, regulatory filings, industry reports, and academic studies on mobile network deployment.

All factual claims in our content are verified against authoritative sources before publication. We update our research regularly to reflect changes in the market, and we correct errors promptly when they are identified. Readers who identify inaccuracies in our content are encouraged to contact our editorial team through our corrections process.

Transparency Policy

We believe transparency is fundamental to editorial credibility. ConnectAtlas may generate revenue through display advertising, which is clearly identified as advertising and does not influence our editorial content. We do not participate in affiliate marketing programs that would create financial incentives to recommend specific providers.

Our editorial team members disclose any potential conflicts of interest relevant to their coverage areas. We maintain a clear separation between editorial and commercial functions within our organization.

Independence Statement

This website is an independent informational resource and is not affiliated with telecom operators, mobile carriers, government agencies, or official eSIM providers. ConnectAtlas does not represent, endorse, or act on behalf of any connectivity provider. Our research and analysis reflect our independent editorial judgment based on publicly available information.

Fact-Checking Process

Technical claims about network technology are reviewed by our research team against authoritative technical documentation. Coverage and pricing information is verified against official provider sources. Regulatory information is checked against official EU and national regulatory body publications.

We maintain a corrections policy: errors identified after publication are corrected promptly, with a note indicating what was changed and when. We do not silently edit published content to remove errors without acknowledgment.
